The WP Weekly Photo Challenge is Colorful . . . what’s more colorful than food, glorious food?
Since I tend to eat food long before I have a chance to shoot it, I’m going to give a shout out to Rufus’ Food & Spirits Guide:
Blue ~ Updating the Classic Blueberry Buckle
Green ~ Rosemary Infused Lemonade
Orange ~ Grilled Peaches with Sweet Vermouth
Hungry for more colorful fare? Swing by Rufus’ Food and Spirit Guide. Bring your appetite!
Go hungry . . . leave happy.
No rules. Just write!
Still hungry?

ooh That is so tasty and what a brilliant idea using food..
If you like cooking, recipes, food, eating, drinking, gardening . . . swing round and visit Greg’s blog.
He and his wife are Culinary Champions. 😀
Oh my goodness! What a pleasant surprise. You’re just too kind! Thank you.
You’re welcome! Your posts make us all drool. 😀
I’ve never had blueberry buckle but I like to have some now! Yummy photos. I like how you went through a range of colors, and with food.
Glad you enjoyed. If you click on the link under each picture . . . you’ll be taken directly to the recipe.
Yum!
Greg posts one appetizing recipe after another . . . with photos!
I never heard of tomato pie before. I learn something new every time I visit here 🙂
It’s a “pizza” made with fresh tomatoes instead of sauce . . . perfect when summer tomatoes are in season. 😀
Some people make it with a pie crust. I use pizza dough. Both are delicious.
My tummy is rumbling.
His posts, like Cindy’s, will do that to ya! Fortunately, it’s just about dinner time here. 😀
Just wanted to second Greg’s thanks for the nice mention!
My pleasure, Katharine. Your posts are ALWAYS such a treat to read. Tasty too! 😀
These photos could make me give up Burger King and Taco Bell. Yum!
I know just what you mean. The food at Burger King and Taco Bell is mostly brown . . . except for the lettuce and tomato! 😀
My “Colorful” response goes up tomorrow morning – we have taken decidedly different routes this time, but in an odd sort of way, they end up with their own similarities – thanksgiving for our senses (and not just for the little sense I have left.. .)
Everything looks luscious – and I was particularly thirsty. . .maybe I’ll go fix myself a drink and end my 10-hour day at the computer!
Talk to you tomorrow!
XO Paula
Glad you enjoyed. Looking forward to your colorful post tomorrow. Sweet dreams! 😀
Colorful FOOD! Happy sights and thoughts. Tomato Pie and Blueberry Buckle, floats my boat 🙂 Beautiful shots, I’m telling you the Tomato Pie calls to me.
I have some tomatoes on the counter begging to be transformed into a delectable pie. 😀
I love your take on the photo challenge with yummy colourful food!
If you need any mealtime inspiration, their blog has more than enough inspiration to go around. 🙂
Gorgeous! I love every single one of these.
I expect you would love his posts on gardening, braiding garlic, growing herbs, etc. And the food . . . oh, the food. 😀
Lovely, I am hungry now 🙂
Between their blog and your blog . . . I walk around in a state of perpetual hunger and thirst. 😀
Yum! Mouth watering colors! 🙂
Indeed. 😀
OMG, Nancy, how utterly STUNNING! What a brilliant interpretation of a fabulous theme. By pure co-incidence (if there is such a thing ;-)), my blog post today includes all the major colour groups 🙂
Glad you enjoyed. I’m glad that drooling over photos of food doesn’t have any calories. 😀
I’ll be around shortly to check out your post.
Nice pictures, now I am hungry.
I’ve stopped looking at his posts right before bed . . . it always makes me munchie. 😉
Delicious, tasteful, colorful…great choice of photos.
Their blog is alway a feast for the eyes. Glad you enjoyed.
I need that tomato pie. Right now. 🙂
I know, right! Summer + tomatoes = perfect together. 😎
YUMMY 🙂
Stunning recipes, food, and photography. It’s a wonderful blog.
I’m on a diet…no more. seriously though some nice images and all very colourful
Their recipes, food, and photography always inspire me to head to the kitchen to cook. Or eat. Mostly to eat. 😉
Good luck with your diet. Remember, fruits and veggies fill you up, without filling you out.
I knew I’d regret looking! Hungry now!
Every time I look at these photos, I get hungry all over again. 😉
OMG, Nancy, how utterly STUNNING! What a brilliant interpretation of a fabulous theme. And thanks so much for the kind mention – by pure co-incidence (if there is such a thing ;-)), my blog post today includes all the ‘major colour groups’ 🙂
Your colorful/colourful post is full of FUN! Thanks, Naomi!
Great photos! Now I’m really hungry. haha
That is VERY understandable. If Greg’s cooking is half as tasty as his photos . . . WOW! Dig in! 😀
Rosemary infused Lemonade – that’s a new one on me! Might give that a try 🙂
PS – Love the Tomato Pie with all that Garlic!
Greg grows (and braids) his own garlic. He did a post with him sitting in the garage with bulbs of garlic surrounding his feet. 🙂
Looks SO refreshing. 😀
I keep coming back to the green lemonade. . . something about the blend of greens quenches more than thirst.
I agree. I don’t know if I would enjoy rosemary with lemon (I expect I would), but it looks delicious.
tomato pie….Yummmm
Mangia! 😀
When is dinner being served or is it lunch? I’ll be right there… What a glorious display of tasty foods and great colors…TY! 🙂
I agree. I feel a bit like a Chub Rabbit looking at all that yummy goodness. 😛
On Greg & Katharine’s menu last night . . . Tapas for Two.
I’ve never had, or heard of really, tomato pie. Good idea with the foods.
If you like tomatoes, I highly recommend it. I’ve also made something similar using zucchini. Also delicious. 😀
Well done!
Thank you for a great link 😉
Have FUN getting HUNGRY. 😀
Yes, I’d like a lemon drop please! Beautiful photos!
Coming right up! 😀
Everything Greg and Katharine cook and photograph looks delicious! Guaranteed to make visitors hungry and thirsty.
