Have you ever asked two (or more) people for advice on how to handle a given situation?

Did you end up with conflicting advice?

Advice which could not be followed without first turning yourself into a Pushmi Pullyu?

The Pushmi Pullyu of Dr. Doolittle fame is an unusual animal ~ a cross between a gazelle and a unicorn, with two heads (one at either end of its body) competing to be C.E.O. of the operation.

Listening to the often contradictory advice of others is a bit like riding a Pushmi Pullyu around and around in circles ~ we get nowhere fast.

In contrast, when we trust ourselves, our inner wisdom  surfaces, offering up exactly the advice we need . . . right here, right now.

Quotes to Ponder:

Just trust yourself, then you will know how to live. ~ Goethe

Turn the spotlight inward. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

No rules.  Just write!

What about you?  Have you ever noticed that advice you give yourself is custom-tailored to be a perfect fit for your unique situation in life?

Or that those who have nothing to lose and nothing at stake are the first to offer up suggestions for how YOU should live YOUR life?   Do you listen to them?
