Where Water Reaches Out To Sky July 2, 2011

The ever changing constancy
Of life beside the briny sea
Where water reaches out to sky
Never fails to satisfy
The wind, the waves, the air around
Still awe, amaze, and astound
And e’er remind the soul within
Who we are and where we’ve been
Pelicans diving, gulls soaring
A sailboat bobbing at its mooring
Every day the scene is changing
Water and sky rearranging
Storms roll in with majestic fury
Birds seek shelter in a flurry
A full moon rises o’er the bay
As the night flows from the day
The seasons ebb, the seasons flow
As does the water just below
Tides roll in and tides roll out
Erasing that last shred of doubt
We’re not alone, how could we be?
Where land and sky greet the sea
Aah . . . that’s better!
What about you?
Do you have a favorite place on the planet ~ a place where you are never alone?
