We went “Cruzan Islands” to celebrate
And met Captain Morgan ~ a pirate
We joined him at the bar
Espied booty near and far
The margaritas? Yup, they were first rate!
Just another day in paradise . . .
No rules. Just write!

I’ve met Captain Morgan a few times…and I even remember to tell the tales! Glad you guys had a blast!
He offered us rum
To keep us mum . . .
But I chose tequila, instead. 😉
Thanks, Suzi!
You guys are having way too much fun. Keep going.
I know! If we don’t watch it . . . we’ll exceed our FUN quotient for the week! 😀
What a fun place! Where’s Cruzan Islands? Anywhere near California. I’d love to take my two granddaughters to visit Captain Morgan.
Cruzan Islands is a group of islands in the Caribbean:

We went Cruising The Islands (to Siesta Key) and saw the sign for Cruzan Islands ~ I believe it’s an ad for Cruzan Rum. 😉
Captain Morgan was standing outside a bar in Boatyard Village. But he might have a “clone” in California.
That looked wonderful. Glad you had a great day, Nancy 😀
Now I’m off to fry some chips. That plate looked deeply interesting.
Quite a fun day, Kate. The fries (chips to you) were yummy ~ a perfect accompaniment to “adult beverages.” 😀
Wow, I wouldn’t mind having a drink with the Captain!
He’s a handsome and debonair fellow ~ some might say swashbuckling! 😉
Looks like a wonderful day! Arrrr! (I’m trying to be a pirate)
I used to do that with my nieces and nephews:
Aarrgh, I am a pirate . . . seeking treasure. Aarrgh, I got me some!
I think I have seen that place on T.V. before. Those fries look fabulous! You look so relaxed and comfortable. Nice tan.
There’s another restaurant in the Keys . . . probably Key West . . . that has 100’s of thousands of dollar bills stapled all over its interior.
The bartender at the Siesta Key Oyster Bar estimated about 5,000 dollar bills hanging over our heads yesterday. That’s still a nice chunk of change! 😉
We had a very relaxing day yesterday.
Today? Not so much.
I’m glad we decided to celebrate early.
Wow, I could do with a lovely plate of chips like that – I’m staaarving! Your trip sounds wonderful and jolly good fun…
They make amazing “chips” . . . really delicious. Jolly good FUN! 😀
I would have chosen the tequila over the rum too Nancy! You two guys are having a ball – let it continue!!
Rum makes a delightful pina colada or daiquiri . . . but salt-rimmed margaritas are still a fave in summer. 😀
it looks like you two are having a great time, carry on enjoying!
Thanks, Sidey. Will do!
Happy times. You’ve got a great set of pins, Nancy 🙂
Thanks, Cin! I love living in FL . . . but would not enjoy it as much if I felt self-conscious wearing shorts. 😉
I’ll take those fries… and the cruzan too. 🙂
I have gifted three Blog Awards to You! Feel free to post them on your blog and share them.
Have a Happy Summer!
Elizabeth
Thanks, E! Three??? I’ll swing round and take a look . . .
Last time I tidied up, I closeted previous blogging awards. I just dusted them off and put them back out . . . for now. I’m not sure whether SLTW should have a “trophy” case on display. Hmm . . .
That pirate looks a rum fellow 🙂
Yo ho ho . . . and a bottle of rum! Cheers!
Looks like a wonderful time. Especially, the margarita part!
‘ Twas! 😎
Rockin’ them shorts there, Hatch. Dont’ tell BFF I said so.
😉
Thanks, OA. Mum’s the word . . . unless I drink tee many martoonis. Hiccup!
