150px-Carlo_Crivelli_052Each week, Sidey racks her brain
Seeking out a mild refrain
A recurring thought, spark, or theme
To share with us, the weekend team

This week, she stepped off home soil
Creating extra work and toil
Instead of tossing out one theme
She turned to us to fill the stream

As ideas surfaced, she kept track
As time ran out, she picked up slack
Searching high and low for themes
To fuel our pens and fill our dreams

Tasks assigned, we write and season
Salting words with wit and reason
Since no one else shares our topic
Will our focus be myopic?

The best part of this week, to me
Is the renewed vitality
With which I’ll face next weekend’s theme
Back on “home soil” . . . what a dream!

Response to Sidey’s Weekend Theme – Progress

Create An Upward Spiral February 19, 2011

When we feel good, we have more energy and are filled with enthusiasm.  We feel buoyant.

When we have more energy, our enthusiasm for life inspires us to do (and be) more.

When we take action and get things done, we step into the driver’s seat.  We feel powerful and creative.  We see ourselves as the architects of our future, rather than as the prisoners of our past.

Our accomplishments make us feel good.  When we feel good, we have more energy and are filled with enthusiasm . . .

Focusing on the positives, and taking affirmative action in the direction of our dreams, creates an upward spiral which inspires us to keep moving.  Taking action, any action, is the antidote to apathy and dis-ease.

When we wake up each morning determined to enjoy what we do, we win.

No matter what happens, we win.

No rules.  Just write!

What about you?  How do you banish lethargy and apathy to begin anew?
