40 Bloggers to Watch in 2011 January 13, 2011

Many of us are not subscribed to enough blogs . . . yet!
On occasion, we have to exit the blogosphere, and step away from our keyboards, because the blog hole we’ve dug is not yet deep enough to keep us fully submerged in cyberspace 24/7.
If your days (and nights) are not filled to the virtual brim with new and enticing reading material . . .
If you find yourself thinking, too much time, not enough blogs . . .
If you are tired of living in the real world for even a few hours a day . . .
If you find yourself scrolling through blogs at a frantic rate, looking for something else to read . . .
You owe it to yourself to check out ProBlogger’s recent post:
The collective talent and enthusiasm of these bloggers is mind-bloggling. 🙂
No rules. Just write!

Oh, am I ever tied to the ball and chain of my blog right now. I want to blog and comment on blogs. How to do it and still have time for housework, cooking, and anything else is the question. I’m working on it. I think I’ll let those 40 bloggers find me. I heard you laugh. It’s okay. I’m laughing, too. Blessings to you…
I am laughing. Everyone has been commenting lately about the time intensity of blogging and now we have even more “rising stars” to ponder. 🙂
That list is great, huh? I was just thinking of looking for more inspiring blogs out there…
The thing is I really would like to check them all out . . . but curiosity kills more than cats.
As they sang in Jesus Christ Superstar:
What’s the buzz? Tell me what’s happening. What’s the buzz?
I must limit my blogging time. I do have a writing habit to support. It is hard to step away from at times, though. I never thought it would be this much fun when I started.

I must limit my blogging time. I must limit my blogging time. I must limit my blogging time. I must limit my blogging time . . . 😉
The link?. . .
Just added. I had included the link at the bottom of a couple of posts on blogging and then forgot to include it here.
My bad.
Rik pointed it out. Thanks, Rik. And thanks, Paula.
I just did a quick perusal of the list, and I didn’t find the “2011 World’s Sexiest Blog” on there. I must say I was nonplussed. Oh well – he must not be much of a blog-watcher to have missed me.
Kidding aside, I realize how incredibly naive I must be. I simply did not know that people labored to make a living off of blogging (hence PRO-blogger – *duh*). Amazing that there are apparently many who do. Silly me. I guess I am not a candidate for such a job as I have absolutely NO IDEA what I would sell or market through a vanity blog such as mine. Perhaps I will actually read a couple of the “Top 40” and find out who does.
Thanks, Nancy. I’m intrigued!
Blogging is big business these days, Paula. It’s not enough just to be the Sexiest Blogger . . . you need bling, and lots of it! 😉
Alas! Back in the olden days, just being the sexiest was enough! Now I gotta go and get bling – getting sexy was enough work. Don’t think I’m going to go for the bling. . .
The bling is the thing! And thneeds. 😉
I feel exhausted just reading about all of them and their energy! What a talented bunch.
I read through the list, but haven’t checked out any of the blogs yet. I will . . . time permitting. 🙂
Thanks for the list Nancy. I don’t know if I’ll check them out or not because I don’t think I can handle finding too many more blogs to read. I’m cutting into sleep time as it is. (And I just read Ollin’s post – I need my sleep :))
I may check a few of them out . . . but only if the subject matter is compelling to me.
I’m starting a 6 week contract so my blogging time will be severely curtailed.
You got it! Yay!!!! 🙂
It’s so easy to get sucked into blogging! And yet, I’ve determined to make my real life my priority and not let blogging get in the way. That means that I’ll miss out on the top 40 blogs in the link. I’m ok with that- I’ve got my own top picks and those are the ones I make time for.
Smart girl. It is so easy to get sucked into the vortex. 🙂
Thank you for the link!
I usually stick to a number of blogs that talk about subjects related to mine (limited time and all that), but I like to browse all kinds of blogs to see what is going on “out there” sometimes.
That’s what I want to do. Browse through the “top guns” and “top dogs” to see how they do things.
My favourite strategy is to lurk in the latest posts section like a pike at the bottom of a pond, snapping up anyone with an interesting title. Problem with the big guys is that they have no time to answer one’s inane ramblings.
Good point, Kate.
And, due to their popularity, the comment section on their blogs is often clogged with inane (and insane) ramblings. 😉
