It’s time (almost) to turn our attention to New Year’s Resolutions.

To get our wheels turning about where there might be room for improvement in our lives, here are some hilarious quotes taken from Governmental Employee Performance Appraisals (including Public School Employees).

Proof, once again, that our tax dollars are NOT always well spent:

1. “Since my last report, this employee has reached rock-bottom and has started to dig.”

2. “I would not allow this employee to breed.”

3. “This employee is really not so much of a has-been, but more of a definite won’t be.”

4. “Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap.”

5. “This young lady has delusions of adequacy.”

6.  “When she opens her mouth, it seems that it is only to change feet.”

7. “He sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them.”

8. “This employee is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot.”

Resolute in our Resolve ~ Part 2.

Golden oldies. Love ’em!

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

I don’t even remember where or when I saw these the first time. They still make me laugh.

3. Joanne Fruin - December 26, 2010

#8 — LOL..!

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

As Forest would say, “Stupid is as stupid does.” 😉

4. Patricia - December 26, 2010

Very funny–but kinda sad too. Once upon a time I was in management and #4 is too often the case.

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

I agree. I’ve had people working for me that fell into that category. But I had many, many more who were “self starters.”

5. Naomi - December 26, 2010

LOL!! Great post, Nancy! Looking forward to the next one…oh, and I love the moose 🙂

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

I love the moose too. The next installment is quite funny too.

haha! – #8 is my fave, I think – but they’re all ‘good’…

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

Imagine having something like this recorded in your “permanent record” at work. 🙂

7. Carol Ann Hoel - December 26, 2010

Very funny. Rock bottom.. begins to dig? Ha! You gotta give kudos for tenacity. Thanks for sharing a good laugh. Blessings…

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

You’re welcome, Carol Ann. We all need a good laugh now and then.

Oh my gosh those are hysterical. Reminds me of a supervisor I had once who couldn’t read!!!! I was so mad when I discovered that.

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

That’s too funny ~ and annoying. 😉

9. Booksphotographsandartwork - December 26, 2010

…when I discovered that fact. Neither of those sound right. I am having one of those days.

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

Me too! I feel like some of the employees described above. 😉

10. run4joy59 - December 26, 2010

very funny…actually you perfectly described some of the people I work with…

nrhatch - December 26, 2010

They are out there! 🙂

11. Cindy - December 27, 2010

Bwhahahahahahahaaaaaa!

nrhatch - December 27, 2010

Honest assessment of capabilities in the workplace identifies areas for future growth. 😉

12. kateshrewsday - December 27, 2010

LOL Food for thought, Nancy, I’m in there somewhere…

nrhatch - December 27, 2010

Not so! You are a stellar self-starter, Kate.

You washed the outside windows in the snow . . . while supervising two wee ones. 😉
