We need our imaginations to Dream, Conceive, Believe, and Achieve.
Problems arise only when we let our imaginations run wild, endlessly circulating toxic, negative, or non-productive thoughts . . . like worrying, fussing, and fretting about nothing.
What do I mean by nothing?
All the things we waste time analyzing, labeling, or worrying about, that won’t matter a week, month, or year from now ~ things like anger at perceived slights, envy of the hard-won (or overnight) successes of others, sorrow which lingers too long, self-pity and/or regret over things outside our control, greed-based desires, arrogance, guilt, resentment, inferiority, and any other ego-concerns that prevent us from living fully in this moment.
When we choose to let go of endlessly circulating and percolating toxic, negative, and/or non-productive thoughts, we free up time and energy to enjoy the here and now ~ a good strategy to follow, since most of what we worry, fuss, and fret about, never happens/happened anyway.
Next time you’re upset, saddened, angry, unhappy, take a moment to examine the thoughts running through your mind, and consider:
Maybe it’s just my imagination, once again, running away with me.
Quote: The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a Heav’n of Hell, or a Hell of Heav’n. ~ John Milton

Thanks for that and for the great song.
You’re welcome. Once I learned to control my thoughts, life became infinitely easier:
