Kindness is not something that you do . . .

It’s who you are.

We become kind, by being kind.

Claim what isn’t, as if it were, until it becomes.

In order to demonstrate that we can be the change we wish to see in the world, Ellen and Dr. Wayne Dyer issued an interesting challenge to her audience:

Quote:  Kindness is its own reward.

I’m battling with my bandwidth, so the video’s took ages to load and I turned them off. I have seen Dyer on Ellen’s show and (shamefully) must confess that there is something about him that irritates me. Still, his message is a good one.

He’s not my favorite “guru” by any means.

This is an interesting clip about kindness, but the previous post, A Change Would Do You Good, is a worthy of watching when your bandwidth is behaving.

In it, Dyer explains how our socialization leads us to create a “false self” (the Ego) and how Ego proceeds to destroy our peace of mind and happiness by looking to others (and our reputation with them) to determine our value.

Does this mean that both of you do not feel that this man is your most enlightened ‘guru’, yet you still find things of interest and help on his site? If so that sounds familiar.

Yes.

I take what resonates with me and leave the rest . . . without insisting that he debate the differences in our beliefs, on his site, while others are waiting to hear what he has to say.
