I came across an intriguing article on the AARP Bulletin today . . . FREE Movies for kids!
A few theater chains are offering good deals on morning screenings of G and PG movies ~ Regal Cinemas, Cinemark/Century Theatres’Summer Movie Clubhouse, and AMC Theatres.
And they’ll let you in even if you’ve got no kids.

Check with your local theaters for details; not all participate.
Joan Rattner Heilman writes often on good deals and where to find them.
Morning Nancy.
Good Morning! I’m just up now . . .
That scheduler fools people into thinking that I’m up when I’m still abed. : )
We are fortunate enough to have a tiny little local movie theater – not affiliated with any of the conglomerates – that does the same thing on Tuesdays here all summer. They offer free popcorn, too! Really wonderful idea, especially on those hot sticky summer days, when what you want is shade. And if you take your kids and don’t like the movie, you can always nap (depending on whether you need ear plugs or not!). I never told you after you asked once, but we live in Waynesville, NC (near the TN/NC border). Beautiful part of the country.
I have something I would like to e-mail you, but don’t want to clutter up your site with it! Could you send me your e-mail address at mine? ptohlinecalhoun@gmail.com
Thanks…and enjoy a day at the movies on me (after all, they’re free!).
We have a small “chain” theatre that has $.50 movies on Mondays and Tuesday and $1.00 matinees the rest of the week.
Generally, I still prefer to pop in a Netflix movie at home, and pop my own popcorn. But taking kids on “outings” and “mystery rides” is fun for them and good for us. : )
I sent you my e-mail address.
