Loreena McKennitt performed The Lady of Shalott (posted yesterday), All Souls Night, and The Mummers’ Dance in Granada, Spain, at the magnificent Alhambra Palace.

McKennitt encourages listeners to explore the past, present, and future.

Using her own lyrics, as well as borrowed words from Shakespeare, Tennyson, and Sir Walter Scott, McKennitt weaves a rich tapestry for her audiences.

McKennitt, a Canadian singer and composer, has recorded seven CDs of Celtic-influenced music ~ her biggest hit came in 1998 with The Mummers’ Dance (from The Book Of Secrets).

Even if you block out Loreena McKennitt’s haunting voice and lyrics, her songs would be worth a listen . . . amazing instrumentals and Celtic flavor.

Aah . . . that’s better!
