A Full House & A Pair of Twins June 20, 2010

For the past few days, we’ve had a full house.

An impromptu visit from a high school friend (someone I hadn’t seen in 35 years) overlapped with a planned visit from my sister and her family.

The result?  Less keyboard time in cyber-space than I’ve had in months.

It’s good to be back . . .

During the overlap, we had 5 adults, 4 teenagers, a golden labrador puppy, and our male tabby, Tigger, living, breathing, eating, sleeping, laughing, and conversing under one roof . . . except when we were outside  building castles in the sand, playing Marco Polo in the pool, and eating watermelon on the deck.

Even after Cindy and her 13-year-old twins (Bridget and Hugh) departed for Cape Canaveral to set sail on a Carnival Cruise, our days and nights swirled past in a kaleidoscopic whirl of . . . sand, salt, sun, surf, sea spray . . . sheets, pillows, towels, comforters, beach chairs, bathing suits . . . Boggle, Phase Ten, Rumicube . . . root beer floats, brownies, ice cream, cookies . . . barking, hissing, laughing, bike rides, beach walks . . . meals, movies, movies, meals . . .

With a matinée performance of Menopause The Musical (and more laughter) tossed into the mix for good measure.

Have I mentioned it’s good to be back?
