Do Ya Think They’re Sexy??? June 12, 2010

More and more celebrities are choosing to Go Vegetarian every year ~ proving they’re just like the rest of us.
Except that they’re richer, more likely to be recognized on the street, and more inclined to attract paparazzi wherever they wander!
Now, we get to decide which Veg Celebs are the sexiest!
To vote, visit: Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity 2010!
Sorry, girls, George Clooney isn’t on the list . . . yet! But Alanis is!

It’s nice to know that not all celebrities use their power for evil.
I’ve always been amazed at celebs being asked to endorse products or ideas, as though being out in the public gives them special insight.
Still…
The political endorsements crack me up. Like I’m going to vote for a candidate just because Brad Pitt told me too. ; )
It’s great when they promote healthy life style choices to show us the secrets to staying young ~ exercise, a vegetarian diet, and . . . plastic surgery!
I am soooo with you both on the whole celeb-endorsement thing! I believe that the same people who decided that celebrities’ personal business was everybody’s business, decided that how they think is how we should think/vote. Honestly -don’t people actually investigate issues and think for themselves anymore? Oh well, back to the Write Your A** Off-a-thon… Did you do it – either of you? Good exercise for me! I actually have to edit myself! 😀

Some celebs are “in the know” and I’ll listen to them . . . others just have an over-rated sense of their own importance. : )
I’m not doing the Write Your A** Off Challenge today because I woke up with a sore shoulder and am keeping my keyboard interaction to a minimum.
I left you a note somewhere to that effect . . . but I have no idea where at the moment. : )
Carolyn is participating though. So you can share notes with her at Life As a Writer and Artist (in my blog roll).
I don’t get the idea of celebrity endorsements, I mean, I have my own mind to make up and I don’t need some “celebrity” to influence my way of thinking. Unless it’s someone I admire, I could care less what they wear/eat/drink 🙂
Sadly, some people don’t like to do their own thinking . . .
That’s why marketeers and advertisers are hired . . . because they are able to influence behaviors and buying decisions by manipulating the masses.
This blog, hopefully, encourages people to use their gray matter to make decisions based on internal priorities rather than external propaganda. : )
Yeah, it’s sad that there are people out there who don’t use their brains and are like sheep. Hope your sore shoulder gets better, I have the same problem on my left arm and sometimes, writing is agony since I am left handed…bleh
Sheep who sleepwalk through life . . . and often run right off the edge of the cliff.
I’m keeping my arm glued to my side to keep the shoulder as immobile as possible while typing. But I’m about to go do something else for awhile.
It’s hard . . . this blogging is very addicting.
I have you to thank for my last post ~ a re-blog from Guarded by an Angel. I found the link to her blog on your site. : )
Well, I hope these celebs are for real in their convictions and hats off, if they are. Let me tell you that this post made me feel quite ancient and “out of it” however as I really don’t recognize a single name.
Right! I searched for familiar names without much success.
I recognized . . . Paul McCartney, Alanis Morrisette, Alicia Silverstone, and a few other, but 90% of the names on the list didn’t ring a bell.
Maybe these “celebs” aren’t that famous?
Maybe “real celebs” still eat meat?
Or maybe we’re just out of the loop because we don’t watch enough Entertainment news . . . that might be a good thing. : )
