At the Tampa Bay Living Green Expo, we toured an amazing art gallery filled with . . . TRASH.
Trash that had been transformed to TREASURE.
The Trashy Art Student Exhibition, a juried exhibit, with CASH (for TRASH) prizes, made us smile from ear to ear.
If you’re looking for a fun project for the kids this summer, consider making some Trash Art.
Take ordinary objects from around the house and re-purpose them . . .
Turning trash and recyclables into ingenious works of art.
* Help save the Environment.
* Encourage kids to think outside the box . . . while reducing, reusing, and recycling the box.

When I was growing up, back in the black and white days, we used to call it “found art”, but the ideas was very much the same.
Cool post.
I wanted to buy the paper mache cat . . . so awesome!
I enjoy making something from “nothing” ~ from leftovers and odds and ends . . . from bits of this and a snip of that.
Much more fun than putting together a kit by following instructions.
Viva la Creative Mind…!
Have you visited Etsy yet…?
Amazing art and repurposed items there…!
I’m just getting started…
I did! I posted a reply to you on Living Expo:
Joanne ~ The skirts and halter and so cool. Little small for me, perhaps, but so creative.
Good luck with your new endeavor. What a great way to spend your summer break from school . . . retooling denim and mens ties. : )
Inspiring!
Some of the pieces astounded us.
All of them made me want to go home and make some pop art from found objects.
