Shining Stars May 13, 2010

Sometimes we’re happy in the roles we play around friends and family.  Other times, we’re not.

If we are not happy playing our “assigned roles” in the daily dramas unfolding around us, we can choose to ignore the scripts we’ve been given and write our own lines, or even our own play ~ assigning ourself the lead role in Creating the Life of our Dreams.

When we reclaim our freedom, we become the shining stars we were always meant to be.

You’re a shining star.  No matter who you are.  Shining bright to see, what you can truly be.  . . .  Shining star for you to see, what your life can truly be. ~ Earth, Wind, and Fire

That’s very good advice to me, who often feels that I am misinterpreted on this site. I shall follow therefore, your advice, and example….. I can also be good with a comeback, grin grin.

Why worry about being misinterpreted by “the few” if others appreciate your words?

Everyone here can take what they want and leave the rest.

If we concern ourselves with our imaginary reputations around town, or on the cyber sites we frequent, we may become paralyzed and unable to speak due to fear of ridicule.

If we speak our truth quietly and clearly, those who are interested will listen. Others will drift away.

When we accept ourselves as we are, the need for “comebacks” diminishes in significant measure. What is there to defend, after all? Our glorious ego?

I’m amazed Nancy, seems our minds are very much in sync!

It does seem that way.

Yesterday morning’s A Wild Ride contains a link to similar sentiments by Joanne of Frank.

I had Shakespeare’s quote in here. And had William Shakespeare in the Tags . . . and then the words to EW&F popped into my head and I adjusted my sails to accomodate that spiritual breeze.

But I LOVED your post this morning. And had to link it us with this post. Thanks!
