The next time you are “in the market” for a companion animal . . . don’t shop for one, adopt one.

When you are ready to adopt, find your new companion among thousands of wonderful animals listed on:

Or visit your local Humane Shelter and take home a furry friend.

Couldn’t agree more. My last two cats, Xena the Warrior Kitty, and Lamont Cranston were both adopted locally.

We’ve adopted all of our pets ~ they found us before we made it to the shelter.

Tigger found us at a farm stand while we were buying corn on the cob.
