Fantasia2Magic is illusion, right?

Smoke and mirrors?  With a bit of hocus pocus dominocus tossed into the top hat to throw us off the scent?

Or is it?

Have you experienced Real Magic in your life?  Have you observed unexplained and inexplicable coincidences and synchronicities?

Miracles, if you will?

What about intuition?

Mickey-Ta-DaaaHave you ever followed a hunch that turned out to be more than the whisper of the wind?  One that led you to the right place at exactly the right time?

A moment of serendipity?

Do you BELIEVE that there is more to life than we perceive through the five senses?

Or do you KNOW it?

When we are open to Real Magic, life flows, ideas manifest, miracles abound.

Aah . . . that’s better!

Intuition, serendipity, the fifth dimension, You betcha! It’s a prompting of another kind.

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

When we tap into this unified field of infinite invisible intelligence, life unfolds in surprising ways. :D

2. Piglet in Portugal - February 23, 2013

There is definately more to life – we have something called our sixth sense. Not everyone has this – those that do will know.

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

Or maybe every does have it . . . but doesn’t access it?

Either way, once you’ve plugged into this unseen power, you are willing to work to maintain the connection.

I think our level of consciousness is often of such a nature that we’re just not aware of the many little synchronicities that permeate our lives. Once we become aware of them they become almost daily occurrences. One is grasped by a spirit of enchantment. CG Jung lived like this and in the midst of his great energies of life, people often spoke of coming in contact with a beautiful kind of childlike enchantment in the great man. Many believe that the roots of this enchantment was found in his firm belief in synchronicity. Lovely post Nancy. Thank you.

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

I agree. Once we open up to the possibility . . . possibilities abound, enhancing our life with enchantment and wonder.

4. Grannymar - February 23, 2013

I don’t know about magic, but if a friend or relation comes into my consciousness for a day or two and I make contact, then everything is hunky-dory. If I do nothing about it, then within a week I hear directly or indirectly that they are very ill or have died. Nowadays my daughter dreads to hear me ask: “Have you heard from (insert name) lately?”

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

OK. So, if I come to your mind . . . please speak up SOONER rather than LATER. ;)

I get what you’re saying . . . the same infinite invisible intelligence in THEM is in YOU. If we are attuned and connected to that unified field, we often KNOW metaphysically what cannot be known with our other five senses, grounded as they are in the material world.

Grannymar - February 23, 2013

Promise! :D

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

Breathes a sigh of relief! :D

My life is full of real magic, and I’m grateful for it. Every day that I’m given is magical, because I had it, whatever it brings.

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

When we spend time in AWE of the miracles of water, air, muscles, thought, food, music, etc. . . . we cannot help but be thankful and appreciative for this amazing experience.

That helps us grow in the silent quiet acceptance of “what is.”

Have a MAGICAL day!

6. colonialist - February 23, 2013

Nothing of really major consequence, but so many little things that cannot be explained away conventionally that I know for sure there is magic out there – and in here too! I have posted regarding most of them at one stage or another.

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

Same here. I didn’t go into specific examples in this post because it’s really just a reminder to be OPEN to the mystery and synchronicity of life.

That said, if you or anyone else want to link back to a serendipitous post . . . link away! :D

I don’t believe in supernatural forces or literal magic (that is, overcoming the laws of physics through some some kind of unmeasurable mind power), but I think the natural minds we do have are far more perceptive than we realize. I also think the clockwork of the natural universe is more interdependent than we understand.

How’s that for a highfalutin’ answer?

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

Superb . . . your falutin’ is at high mast, not half staff.

I think you’re right ~ we have not fully tapped into the enormous reach of our “natural minds” . . . nor have we fully realized that time speeds up and slows down based, in part, on our level of awareness.

ericjbaker - February 23, 2013

Where’s Malcolm Gladwell in all this?

nrhatch - February 24, 2013

He’s on the lecture circuit . . . selling his soul to the highest bidder:

I certainly believe in the sixth sense and recently it has been proven by a group of scientists using lab rats (even though I hate animal testing). The thing with science is that they need definitive proof for these things, but we could have just told them all along that it exists! :D

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

Exactly! Plus, the more digging they do, the more scientists recognize the validity of quantum physics and the intelligence inherent at the cellular level.

Intelligence, independent of the brain, explains how transplant patients sometimes receive not only ORGANS but also MEMORIES from their donors.

9. Patricia - February 23, 2013

I think we haven’t even begun to tap into the “extra” stuff.

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

I think you’re right about that, Patricia. Our cats can read our minds and some day we’ll learn their techniques. ;)

Patricia - February 23, 2013

I am not sure I want to read minds. I have a hard enough time sorting through mine.

nrhatch - February 23, 2013

That’s almost exactly what I said on Maggie’s last post. I’m happier delving into my own thoughts without complicating matters by seeing the thoughts that others think. :D

10. sweetdaysundertheoaks - February 24, 2013

Absolutely inexplicable coincidences and synchronicities and intuition! All through my life!! I listen to and follow my intuition.

nrhatch - February 24, 2013

Yes! Even before I “believed” in intuition, I followed it at times because the sense of KNOWINGNESS was too strong to ignore.

Now a slight nudge or whisper is all I need. It rarely has to SHOUT to get my attention! :D

11. E Bishop Wooten - February 24, 2013

I believe the 6th sense is more of a spiritual sense that is the only explanation for the unexplained around you. Things don’t just happen by coincidence. :)

nrhatch - February 24, 2013

I expect that our intuition IS tapped in to the Universal Internet . . . allowing us to know things that cannot be perceived through the other five senses and allowing us to manifest synchronicity and mystery in our lives by drawing what we need to us at just the right time.

12. sufilight - February 25, 2013

I never developed a super sense of smell or vision to compensate for the loss of hearing throughout the years but have a strongly developed intuition to the point of being psychic at times. It has helped me and those close to me. I am glad I have a normal sense of smell as I can be sensitive to unpleasant smells when in the city and wouldn’t it to stand out. :D

nrhatch - February 25, 2013

I have books on Practical Intution and Psychic Development that are on my hit list to work with this year. My intuition has been a terrific adjunct WHEN it calls out to me, but I’d like to strengthen the connection so I can call on it anytime, anywhere.

One time, we were in Salem Massachusetts around lunch. We didn’t have any information on restaurants but decided we wanted “Seafood” “Outside.” So that’s the message I shot up to the Universe. Within minutes, I had a strong sense to walk down one street, then another, then another . . . at which point my nose led us the rest of the way to a FUN and FUNKY seafood restaurant with an outdoor patio and signs boasting “surly waitresses,” “warm beer,” and “lousy food.”

The intuitive signs were correct. Their signs were outright lies.

I’m with you about the sense of smell . . . I only want to smell delicious aromas and delightful scents.

sufilight - February 26, 2013

That’s great to play with intuition like that, you get to also attract what you want. I am going to emulate you and test it. The restaurant with it’s wacky signs sounds FUN. :D

nrhatch - February 26, 2013

I expect that it pipes up more often when it knows we are LISTENING. Have fun playing around with it.

13. shreejacob - February 28, 2013

Wow…I just started a class on “The Map” oracle cards using the book by the same name, by Colette Barron Reid! And…yup…it talks about magic in our lives! I do believe in magic…I just need to be more attuned, aware AND have the trust in myself that what I perceive as magic truly is magic!

nrhatch - February 28, 2013

When we remain awake, aware, and move through our days with alert curiosity, wonder, and awe . . . we see real magic.

William D'Andrea - February 28, 2013

“They’re hee-eer!”
