My favorite Happy Hours are comprised of four key ingredients:
A warm sunny spot with a view . . .
A refreshing adult beverage . . .
Something delicious to nibble on . . .
Someone to share the laughter . . .
Aah . . . that’s better!

Sounds perfect Nancy – and you are lucky to have it all!
At the moment, we are avoiding all things fried . . . so those french fries look especially appealing.
Cheers! A very happy hour.
Bottoms up!
Yes. YES, Yes, Awwwwwww! You gonna make me come down there..
I remember that place!!!!
I thought you might recognize that shot.
And yeah potatoes are a veggie for sure and ketchup is full of all that beta-carotene!
Exactly!
And world’s greatest chocolate chip cookie has, well, all that healty cocoa stuff!
Mmm . . . chocolate!
Nothing like a fresh adult beverage – cheers.
This particular Happy Hour (just before Christmas) was full of sweet surprises . . . the day had been chilly, but it warmed up as soon as the sun appeared.
Then, as we were leaving the marina to head home, Freedom Boat Club invited us to stay for a gathering of members . . . with music, games, and a FREE Italian dinner!
I do fancy those chips!
Chips is hard to resist.
Life’s simple pleasures!
Yes! It doesn’t take much to add to our enjoyment of the journey through life. We just need to press *pause* from time to time to soak it all in.
You had me at warm!
Warm is good.
Nope, it’s not just luck. People who focus on the positive generally get positivity in return. Not only was your “happy hour” nearly perfect, but the positivity you invested in it brought you such a lovely, positive invitation.
Thanks, Sandra! We are WHERE we are because of the choices we made ~ having a positive mindset encourages us not to overlook the simple pleasures found when we press *pause* long enough to enjoy them.
Well, I have the warm weather.
Not the view.
The adult beverage.
I am almost there!!!
Your weather sounds furnace-like, Granny. Extreme temps like that call for a nice refreshing beverage. Aah . . .
A little of what you fancy does you good! Please may I have one chip? May your life consist of many Happy Hours.
Yes, of course! Help yourself.
having your cake and eat it too, eh? Happy dance….
There is nothing like a Happy Dance to make us grin.
Cheers! Ah!! You look so warm and happy. It’s kind of frigid up here on the big lake. I’m jealous.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I miss visiting folks (and receiving visitors!), so I was very happy to see you paid a visit. And yes, school is chugging along nicely.
Still enjoy your blog when I get a chance to drop in. Take care and have a fantastic week.
Thanks, Cecelia. I love that reflections shot of yours. Watching the winter weather around the country confirms the rightness of our decision to move to Florida. It’s 61 degrees right now . . . and that’s cold enough for me.
Good luck with your studies!
Chips, beer, nice view, good company – what more could you ask for in life!
A pool table. Are you going to have a pool table in the RUC once it’s moved onto your property?
I’d love to! I had a misspent childhood and can actually play (and my gramps was a pool champ)
A pool table is definitely on the list of ‘have to have’
We had a stellar pool table when we lived in NJ . . . but we sold it with the house. Ping Pong is fun too. Your new home is going to be top notch!
Those french fries look awesome. I try to stay away from fries because I can eat a whole plate of ‘em without even thinking about it. Even if I am full, I will eat them.
No matter how many I’ve eaten, I convince myself that BFF has eaten at least half . . . Guilt-B-Gone.
I like your four ingredients, Nancy. They are similar to mine
