You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. ~ Buddha
Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly. ~ St. Francis de Sales
Allow peace to surface. Circulate happiness, curiosity, creativity. Share what you’ve learned. Live on the razor’s edge of the now ~ awake, aware, alert, present. Reclaim your passion. Savor the silence. Let go of stale thinking. Choose your response.
Be here now.
Aah . . . that’s better!

Reblogged this on ELANA – The Voice of the Future.
Hope your followers enjoy.
Thanks – I needed that…
Me too!
Aaah … yes, thanks!
I am happier drifting with the current . . . rather than flailing against it.
that is better.. c
Dragged into the past, we mourn and regret. Focused on the future, we fret and worry. Here, now . . . we enjoy the dance.
very true..
Do I want to imitate Lady Gaga? Not in a million years. I love meself, I love meself, I love… a mantra for daily living. Peace out.
I would never trade all of MY experiences to step into someone else’s shoes.
Wonderful. That Buddha was full of the wisdoms
A boatload full of them!
Ah yes! Love thyself and loving others follows!
The one tends to follow the other . . . in an upward spiral.
Great advice…I couldn’t agree with you more!
It is easy to lose touch with the NOW . . . and allow our happiness to slip away with it. Bringing our attention back to the flow of our breath reconnects us to the flow of life.
Aah . . . the present of being present in the present.
“Let go of stale thinking.” O’ let this resound through our world. I’ll drink a glass of wine to this tonight, Nancy.
Cheers! *clink*

Yes! We see the world BEHIND our eyes . . . and reflect it back.
Yes!!!
[...] You, Yourself… [...]
I think I’m going to copy this — with your permission of course — and repeat these words to myself everyday!
Help yourself! _/!\_
By that, I mean “permission granted.”
I have just copied — thank you!
Here we go again… great minds I wrote a post with similar title for yesterday’s post…
Have a great weekend!
That’s excellent, E . . . I got the title from the Buddha quote which I jotted down many moons ago. It’s so interesting when similar thoughts bubble up at the same time in different places.
I just love that Frances De Sales quote, Nancy. For what else could we be?
Isn’t that a song . . . “I gotta be me . . . I gotta be me . . . what else could I be but what I am?”
I shall YouTube it immediately to find out.
My mom used to sing it . . . but I don’t believe she posted a video on youtube.
Very nice!
Thanks, Irene. Be good to yourself. And to others.
So special…thank you….
Thanks, Kathy.
Because my computer is AWOL, my time on line will be limited for the forseeable future. I’ll try to find something productive to do to fill the unused Cyber Space.
A most excellent reminder for the new year, or for any day of the year, Nancy.
Letting go of stale thoughts really does pave the way to see the world anew. Even if it’s a shocking view . . .
Great advice/reminder. How we think and react to our world can determine whether or not we experience peace. I’ll take peace, please
The Universe is testing me at the moment . . . but, overall, peace prevails despite the challenges. _/!\_
My blog post today is about this very thing. Got the idea from The Daily Prompt. Anyway, trying to be something or someone we are not is…painful. Love the quotes.
I’m borrowing a computer at the moment . . . when mine gets back from its detoxification, I’ll swing by to see what you’ve posted.
Beautiful! These are good reminders as I start my New Year.
I am focusing on doing these things myself . . . it’s so easy to be inundated by the mundane and lose sight of the gorgeous vistas that wait for us around each corner.
Good for everyone Nancy! Thanks – great post.
Thanks, Tammy. Here’s to happiness, creativity, and curiosity.
Oh yes, thanks! Every morning I have to stop and reel myself back into the moment, and remind myself that that is where I belong!
Lately, the past has been singing her siren song, pulling me down memory lane. Wrapped in nostalgia, the “good old days” seem better, easier, simpler, brighter.
But we cannot reclaim a single droplet once it has washed over the dam and merged with the sea.
Circulate happiness, curiosity, creativity… I like that. So many people go stale and stagnant. This is a good reminder not to fall in that trap.
The more curious we are to see what’s around the bend . . . the happier we are with the inherent uncertainty of life.
My niece and I are away together, savouring the silence
How divine! _/!\_
ahh..much better indeed when the fog of a headache clears !
Headaches hinder clarity, for sure. Glad it’s gone.
