Harbour Isles invited us to a Pool Party yesterday to celebrate the Grand Opening of their Kayak Launch and Pool.

They promised tropical food, tropical drinks, and tropical music.

With an invite like that . . . and a setting like this . . . how could we refuse?

Aah . . . that’s better!

Oh wow! You’re making it hard for me to live in Cleveland!!!! Oy…I need a vacation to southern climes…

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

I’ve been rather oblivious to the weather up north since there haven’t been any blizzards. But being here in the winter suits me better than anywhere else I’ve lived.

Looks relaxing… and in the middle of winter no less.

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

It was gorgeous ~ in the 70′s and 80′s. We didn’t swim . . . but we enjoyed the music, the mingling, and the noshing. :D

Sounds so much better than the crunching snow beneath my feet. Not much chance of escaping the cold this winter to warmer shores. Can’t complain too much..We are warmer here than most winters and almost no snow.

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

Hi Jeanne! I’m glad your winter has been milder than most. You’ve been so quiet. Hope you’re happily engaged.

Jeanne - February 19, 2012

Most definitely happily engaged in life as wife, mom, and most importantly Grandma. On to new adventures as landlords….

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

Excellent! Glad your grandchild is keeping you “warm” this winter. :D

Good luck with the new endeavor.

Beautiful photos and yummy looking food, but a wee bit too bright for me ;-) I would have been sitting somewhere shading with a suspicious looking red liquid at hand (but it would have been only cranberry juice, allergic to red wine…)

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

They have three lovely tented cabanas for those who need to stay out of the sun.

Alannah Murphy - February 19, 2012

Oh yes, I’d be in one of those for sure :-D

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

We sat in the shade under a swaying palm tree while we ate. Delightful day.

Great photos!

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

Thanks, Greg. I was proud of myself for remembering to shoot the food BEFORE I started eating. :D

Strawberries are just coming into season and they were superb . . . as was the fresh pineapple and the grilled asparagus. YUMMY!

6. Maggie - February 19, 2012

Very nice! Free food… can’t complain!

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

We had fun. We bumped into a few neighbors and had a chance to catch up. And the band played some great tunes.

I wish I were there, floating in that water. :)

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

Come down and visit, Andra! :D

8. sufilight - February 19, 2012

What fun! Love the slideshow of great photos!

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

Thanks, Marie! I am so excited that I learned how to do a slideshow. I’ll try not to overdo it . . . 3 slideshows in a row is probably a bit much for most.

Nice looking spread for FREE!!!

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

It was a lovely party . . . and bumping into several people we know in the area made it nicer still.

10. barb19 - February 19, 2012

Looks pretty much perfect to me!

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

We swung by for about 2 hours before heading to the exotic car fest. The perfect amount of time to enjoy the midday sun.

sweetdaysundertheoaks - February 19, 2012

Very lovely Nancy! The food looks delicious. I love grilled asparagus.

nrhatch - February 19, 2012

The grilled asparagus and the pineapple were my FAVES . . . and the strawberries were awesome too.

I don’t think I’d turn down that invitation, either! The location looked peaceful and inviting, as did the food. The best part is the cost to attend. Free is always nice :)

nrhatch - February 20, 2012

Harbour Isles planned the party for the new and soon-to-be residents of the fledgling neighborhood. Since community members are few in number, they invited other prospective buyers to join the pool of party goers, including us.

And we love a P~A~R~T~Y!

Looks fab!

13. eof737 - February 20, 2012

Nice, very nice. You going back? ;-)

nrhatch - February 21, 2012

They invite us to special events a few times a year. It’s kind of like our own little “Field of Dreams” . . . they build it, we visit it. ;)

14. bluebee - February 21, 2012

Aaah….that’s most definitely better! :-)

nrhatch - February 21, 2012

Hope your day is filled with blue skies, bluebee.
