Our thoughts create our future:

Conceive it

Believe it

Achieve it.

Explore.  Dream.  Discover.

We have the innate ability to become all that we dream
We can create the future, it’s not as hard as it might seem
To become who you aspire to be, to make your dreams come true
See yourself as you desire to be, think of the good you will do

Claim what isn’t, as if it were, until it becomes
We can be all we want to be, see it and it will be done

Set goals, direct your actions, envision what you will achieve
Satisfying goals is easy, all you have to do is believe
Tell yourself you’re good enough, believe that that is true
And soon you’ll act in ways that satisfy all ~ even you

Claim what isn’t, as if it were, until it becomes
We can be all we want to be, see it and it will be done

Cultivate your strengths, don’t worry about the past
Enjoy what life has to offer, this magical moment won’t last
The future is on the way, it’s just around the bend
Your dreams will come true, because the Universe is your friend

Claim what isn’t, as if it were, until it becomes
We can be all we want to be, see it and it will be done

No rules.  Just write!

1. Graydon Archer - March 9, 2010

“The worst thing one can do is not to try, to be aware of what one wants and not give in to it, to spend years in silent hurt wondering if something could have materialized – and never knowing”

“To fail is a natural consequence of trying, To succeed takes time and prolonged effort in the face of unfriendly odds. To think it will be any other way, no matter what you do, is to invite yourself to be hurt and to limit your enthusiasm for trying”

These quoats are from David Viscott. I thought they fit rather nicely.

We cannot fail . . . unless we stop trying. ; )

Thanks!

3. Graydon Archer - March 9, 2010

Over the course of my life, I have often fell prey to anger.
A conservative estimate would be around fifteen minutes
per day. I am fifty seven years old. At fifteen minutes per
day, that is 312,075 minutes. Or 5201.25 hours. Or 216.7 days
of my life wasted on anger. Imagine that. 216.7 days gone.
Days that I could have been happy. Or at the very least, content.

I am quite sure that a number of people would perhaps, argue
that I could not have spent fifteen minutes every day of my life
in anger. And I would concur. However, I have spent days upon days
consecutively in anger. I awoke angry from the previous day, and
remained angry throughout the entire day. And I chose to do so.

Over the last few years of my life, I have been trying to seek serenity
in my life. I have worked hard at attaining it. Seeking peace of soul,
peace of mind, and peace of being. I thought I was doing fairly well.
That’s why I was so shocked to discover just how willing I am to
sell my serenity to the first bidder that comes along. I sold it today
at a local McDonalds’ for $ 1.49 . The change I received from
my order was incorrect, They wanted to count down the drawer. And
if indeed they were over, they would give me my change.

For $1.49 cents, I was fuming! So my morning meditations for serenity
went right out the window. How much I wonder, will my serenity be worth
tomorrow.

Graydon ~

You are not alone. I learn these valuable lessons, they make sense, I adopt them as my own . . . and then the real world gets in the way of what I’ve learned.

I find myself in a heap at the bottom of the mountain, hanging on to stuff that I should have immediately “let go.”

What I have found over time . . . as soon as I realize that I am not where I want to be (right here, right now) . . . I can immediately reclaim my vantage point at the top of the mountain.

Peace.
